I am so proud of Stephen. Nobody deserves a BJ flavor more than him. He gave out pints to his studio audience a la Oprah. It was hillarious.
I missed the episode, but it sounds like something he'd do. I've been astounded at how well he has been received by both the left and the right wing audiences. The fact that Ben & Jerry's gave him a nod seems to indicate that the left is onboard - and many of my closest red-staters don't miss a show. They love this guy. (I'm not sure why they do, however.)
I think they do because even though it's a parody, he says a lot of "what I'm really thinking, but can't really get away with saying" stuff, so it sort of cathartic. Why not Truthiness Toffee?
Michael, That is brilliant. Truthiness Toffee Twist. My mother-in-law is afraid of the show. She said she's not sure WHICH side he's on. I told her to keep watching and just believe. I think the guy's brilliant. There is no greater compliment than an ice cream flavor named after you by the boys. He will go down in the BJ Hall of Fame with the likes of Dave Matthews, Jerry Garcia, and the band Phish. Am I missing any? D.
Well...if you're going to include Phish I will include my favorite flavor of the bunch, and my favorite group name - Ben & Jerry's VerMonty Python. Described as, "Coffee liqueur ice cream with a chocolate cookie crumb swirl & fudge cows." I'm drooling already...I guess I'll have to go buy ice cream after I get off work.
