Stokefire “iMAGINEs”Alexandria’s InnovationLinden, Chief Thingnamer, helps ignite Alexandria’s creative businesses FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
The Washington Post recently
recognized the important work of iMAGINE Alexandria. Our own Tate Linden,
President and Chief Verbal Creative of Stokefire, has played an important
role in the group serving as one of iMAGINE’s Directors. Other companies
represented on the Board and Directors include Belmont, Inc., Blue Skies,
Fox & Hounds, RedPeg, Brightline Interactive, and Bittersweet Catering
and Café. The Washington Post likens iMAGINE Alexandria to Silicon Valley and New York for the important
role it is playing in making Alexandria a host for the “creative class.”
Alexandria houses many advertising, marketing, graphic and other creative
companies. The group is relying on this concentration to create a cluster
effect. It hopes that creative companies will attract like-minded businesses
and ultimately reshape Alexandria. This reshaping is vital to economic
growth of Alexandria, which has hitherto relied heavily on residential
taxes as its chief source of revenue. For the full Washington Post article go here. As mentioned, iMAGINE Alexandria’s
goal of developing a creative hub is imperative to Alexandria’s economic
growth. In a time of economic downturn that goal is especially salient.
The movement focuses on encompassing “the entire life-cycle of the
creative process: education, idea generation, collaboration, implementation,
and appreciation.” For more information visit iMAGINE Alexandria (where you can also donate to the
cause). Stokefire was founded in 2005, and has already become a force in the branding industry. Located in Old Town Alexandria, Virginia, Stokefire specializes in developing brand identities and strategies for non-profits, high-tech, and "green" organizations. # # # |
