Challenge: Find an identity that showed the potential of a technological dream-team led by a man who called up the best people he’d ever worked with and asked if they’d drop everything and start up the company they always wished they’d work for.
Scope: Name, Tagline, Logo, Identity Kit
Results: In an early discussion an executive of the company said “You have to see the real problem to solve the real problem.” That key phrase was the basis for the entire brand.
Trivia: Gifted geometricians might recognize Lantern Three as a reference to the third light source required to fully illuminate a 3-D object. Inquisitive designers will probably be more interested in finding the three references to the number three in the logo.
